finding shapes in clouds.
(Performed at Sound Spectrum Redux 20.2)
A piece I wrote fairly quickly. I wanted to emulate the music of Joe Hisaishi of Studio Ghibli fame, and I kept the image of two people relaxing on a small hill, soft grass flailing in the wind, as they lie and look at the clouds, trying to find different shapes. I also wanted to write something that wasn't super complicated, but still interesting.

(Performed at Sound Spectrum Festival 20.2 Drawing Sound Concert)
My first attempt at writing a graphic score, i thought i had it under control... is about my mental stability throughout the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic. It was a time where I thought I would do so much, but really it brought me confusion and general haziness that left me feel like I had lost control of my goals and my abilities to do them.

(Due to the hectic busyness of the end of semester, cuppled with paperwork, I recorded this by myself with one piano just so I can put it on the website in time.)
Due to Lindsay Vickery's long-service leave, the ECUtorial orchestra, and the entire composition course was run entirely by Stuart James this semester, who did an amazing job at organising everything. Check him out by clicking on his name. You can also check out Lindsay too, I guess.
